TechCLT Holiday Party
Friday, December 14, 2012 from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM (EST)
Over the past two years, many of the Charlotte area tech user groups/meetups have gotten together in December to throw a big bash and this year is no different. In fact, this year is looking like it will be our largest yet! This is a great opportunity to meet other developers/hackers/geeks in the Charlotte area and share a couple of beers.
At 7:00 PM, an organizer from each of the participating groups will be put on the spot for 2-3 minutes to talk about what their group has done in the last year as well as mention what they have coming up. There are some really interesting things going on in Charlotte. The hope is that one of the groups will catch your ear and drag you out to one of their events. Below are some of the groups who will be in attendance:
- Charlotte UX
- Charlotte Front-end
- Charlotte Grok
- Queen City PHP
- Charlotte Ruby
- Charlotte Hackers & Founders
- BarCamp Charlotte
- Charlotte Drupal
- Charlotte Python
- Freelance CLT
- Ignite Charlotte
- Charlotte Clojure
- Charlotte BI Group
- OWASP Charlotte
Red Ventures is graciously providing us with food and drinks for this event. Be sure to check in with them at the top of the stairs with either your ticket or the Eventbrite app to recieve your drink card and say thanks. Additionally, the below sponsors will be giving away goodies throughout the event:
- 1 free O'Reilly ebook for each attendee
- 30 Subscriptions to Treehouse (1 free month)
- 25 Subscriptions to Code School (20 for 1 free month, 5 for 3 free months)
- 20 O'Reilly Books (Paid for by Hendrick Automotive Group)
- 35 Pragmatic Programmer Books (Paid for by Lending Tree and Web Afternoon)
- 2 Coworking Desk Memberships (3 free months at Industry Charlotte)
Be sure to come out, have a good time, learn about the technology community in Charlotte, and take home some swag.
